DOCUMENTARY

When I moved to Chicago I  wouldn't have felt as at home if it hadn't been for bicycles. People find togetherness through music and art ,  and I don't dispute that they do, but  bicycles did the same for me. These simple machines connect two or many places together. Cities or the wilderness open up beyond what is bipedally possible. People on opposite ends of the world, most will never meet, share and find solidarity in this sub-culture. For me, Africa and North America were joined. Johannesburg and Chicago connected because of a simple mechanical work horse.
